We hope you are all well and have some well-deserved time off booked for the Summer.
We would like to share with you the Summer Holidays Flyer for Appeer.
A couple of highlights to note;
- Zoom Talk – they are offering parents and carers an expert talk all about the transition to university or work. This is hosted by Rachel Pearson who is one of our directors and also works for AS Mentoring which is an organisation that supports autistic people in the workplace. She has some very valuable insights into the accommodations available within the world of work and also the support and advocacy universities offer autistic young people.
- Summer Ad Hoc Activities – they have some spaces left on their supported Paddle Boarding and Horse Sanctuary Activities for the 16-18 age group.
- Alternative Provision – they are taking registrations for next year’s Weekday Group which is their Alternative Provision offer. They have had great success this year with girls who are on roll at a school but need some peer connections or respite from the school environment to be more successful when they are in school. This especially applies to EBSNA pupils, so if you have any autistic girls who you think might benefit (and you have the funds available) then please do get in touch.
