Surrey Home to School Transport Engagement – Arrangements during August
Family Voice Surrey are aware that the summer holidays can be a worrying time for families whilst awaiting the details of your child or young person’s home to school transport arrangements for September.
The Surrey School Travel and Assessment Team (SSTAT), have made a commitment that all applications that were received before the 31st July and were deemed eligible, will have their specific transport arrangements communicated to them at least 7 days prior to the start of term.
Those who applied after the 31st July will receive communication on expected timescales.
We have been discussing with the Surrey School Travel and Assessment Team (SSTAT) what can be done to best support families during this time, to ensure that concerns and questions are answered promptly.
We are pleased to say that following the discussions, they have agreed to speak with families directly during August. These 1:1 calls will be an opportunity to meet with officers from the Surrey School Travel and Assessment Team and ask any questions.
