Could you be a Family Voice Surrey volunteer?

We are currently looking for ‘ambassadors’ who have experience of a particular area of need, knowledge of a specific setting or are able to offer a skill to help us grow Family Voice Surrey. This would allow us to input across a wider sphere of topics that are relevant to children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.

As a volunteer or volunteer school rep you will get:

  • Induction, training and reimbursable expenses,
  • Opportunities to develop new skills,
  • Opportunities to be part of a committed, capable team,
  • Opportunities to use your families SEND experience, or your professional skills or just your common sense, to truly make a difference,

Strategic Lead –

The Strategic Lead plays a critical leadership role in developing and guiding the strategic direction of the forum. Working closely with the Trustees, the Steering Group, Communication & Membership Lead, and external partners, the Strategic Lead ensures that FVS’s work remains focused, impactful, and driven by the voices of parent carers.

The role balances strategic oversight with practical delivery and relationship management.

Location: Office-based (Guildford) however, you will be required to regularly attend in-person meetings and events as required by the business.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £38,480 PA FTE pro rata

Reports To: Chairperson and Board of Trustees

Travel Required: As required – expenses paid
