The All Age Autism Strategy have been working on a document that is intended to be used in schools on ways to support autistic children and young people who may be questioning or exploring their gender and sexuality. This project is being led by the All Age Autism Strategy Apprentice who has lived experience and is very passionate about ensuring schools are equipped to support young people in the best way.

The document is being co-produced and many young people have taken part in collaborative workshops to share their experiences to feed into the document.

We now need to work on the parent carer section and we need your help!

If you have an autistic young person who has/is questioned/ing or explored/ing their gender or sexuality and would be happy to feed into this document – we would like to invite you to an  online session to meet with the All Age Autism Strategy team and share some ideas of what you would have loved to have known or be told about and ideas that schools could do to offer the best support and some quotes that can demonstrate the impact.
