The parliamentary inquiry “Solving the SEND Crisis”
As you may be aware the Education Committee has launched a major new inquiry focused on finding solutions to the crisis in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision.
The Committee would like to hear from parents and carers, early years settings, schools, local authorities, voluntary sector organisations, professionals, sector bodies and anyone else with an interest in the system of support for children and young people with SEND.
At Family Voice Surrey we are committed to feeding in the parent carer experiences of SEND in Surrey into this enquiry. We will be submitting our evidence which is based on all of the feedback and experiences we have received and have been hearing to the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF) who are collating evidence from all of the parent carer forums across the country and will submitting a detailed collective parent carer forum response.
Once this has been submitted we aim to keep parent carers updated as the inquiry progresses.
Parent carers can also submit their own responses if they would like to do so via the following link: https://committees.parliament.uk/call-for-evidence/3517/
The deadline for submitting responses is the 30th January 2025
