📣  We Want to Hear From You!

We’re responding to funding pressures and changes in local services by reviewing how Family Voice Surrey, your Parent Carer Forum works. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be speaking with staff and parent carers to understand what really matters to you.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback on trustees@familyvoicesurrey.org

We’re working hard to meet rising demand whilst responding a challenging financial landscape – here’s a quick look at what we’ve been doing and what’s ahead 👇
Ongoing with the Local Authority

We have been actively involved in several key workstreams, sharing your feedback directly with the Local Authority to influence positive change for families across Surrey. These workstreams include:

Ordinary Available Provision (OAP) Guide – We’re working to help simplify and clarify what is available to families as part of ordinary provision in schools, so that support is easier to access and understand.

Personal Budgets – We continue to share your feedback and suggestions to improve guidance and clarity around the use of Personal Budgets.

EHC Needs Assessment (EHCNA) Process – We’re working to improve the experience for families navigating the EHCNA process, advocating for a more transparent and supportive system.

Local Offer Showcases – We co-host Local Offer events across Surrey, creating opportunities for families and professionals to meet, connect, and explore local services available to support young people with additional needs.

Community Engagement and Events

Our coordinators have been actively hosting events throughout the county, gathering feedback, listening to your experiences, and offering support. We’ve also welcomed a range of guest speakers to provide advice, guidance, and signposting to services. Recent guests have included:
