Event details
Returning to speak to the FASD Group following her talk in April, will be Elleni Ross, Designated Social Care Officer for Additional Needs and Disabilities, Surrey County Council.
Elleni is responsible for strategic planning to improve collaboration and integration of social care with SEND.
Our FASD online chat group is for Surrey parent carers of children and young people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder – with or without a diagnosis.
FASD affects more people than autism yet is a condition that is often misdiagnosed or missed completely. While more than 400 conditions can co-occur, FASD is primarily a neurodevelopmental condition with lifelong cognitive, emotional and behavioural challenges.
The Family Voice Surrey FASD group meets on a regular basis via Zoom and provides an opportunity to share experiences and exchange advice. We also have a WhatsApp Group for day-to-day chat.
The host for the event is Sara Draycott (Waverley FVS Co-ordinator) and she is joined by Debbie Bell, a carer of children diagnosed with FASD.
Email waverley@familyvoicesurrey.org for more information and the Zoom login details.
