Event details

Do you have recent experience of an autism assessment for your child or young person which has resulted in a diagnosis or not? The All Age Autism Strategy needs your expertise to improve the information and guidance offered to families.

The All Age Autism Strategy team in Surrey are looking to improve the information available to families before and after an assessment for autism. This is following feedback from parent carers and young people who identified this as a need.

They want to know what information, advice and guidance would be helpful leading up to an assessment and afterwards. This may include receiving a diagnosis or not.

They want to hear from parent carers with lived experience to help develop this to ensure that it is truly reflective of what parent carers really need.

If you are a parent carer who has recent experience of their child or young person going through the assessment process and would like to get involved in shaping this piece of work the All Age Autism Team would love to hear from you! An initial virtual session hosted by Family Voice Surrey is being held on Tuesday 13th May at 12pm. This session will be an opportunity to meet with Jane Gupta, All Age Autism Strategy Service Manager and Leanne Henderson, Participation Manger at Family Voice Surrey and share your ideas and thoughts based on your experiences.

If you have recent experience and would like to join the session, please click the link to book your place. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1345157354859?aff=oddtdtcreator
